JUICE CEREMONY

Painting// Kelly WestJUICE CEREMONY
A Weekend Cleanse Experience
September 11th-14th
Joshua Tree, CA

Join Angela de la Agua in her beloved desert landscape for a sacred juice cleanse experience. An intimate group of women will join together for a self-healing journey filled with juices, ceremony, and serene desert magic.

Arrive Thursday evening and enjoy the sunset with a light raw vegan meal. Juice cleansing will begin Friday morning and continue through Saturday evening. Sunday morning we will close the experience by breaking the cleanse together, if you choose to do so. The weekend will include ceremony, guided meditation, guided Kundalini yoga practice, sharing circles, and songs. You will have plenty of time to yourself to meditate, sleep, take walks, read, rest, and heal.

Accommodations: The retreat will be held at Casa de Nowhere, just a few moments away from Angela’s home. The Casa de Nowhere compound is rustic communal-style living filled with loving energy which you will share with the other juice cleansers. There are two small domes with beds, two private bedrooms in a separate building, one shaded outdoor bed, and a communal house with kitchen, bathroom with toilet and sinks, couches, and a large matted space for yoga. There is plenty of land for camping as well, if that’s desired. There is a beautiful solar-powered showerhouse, and an outdoor bathtub. An outdoor whirlpool tub will be filled with cool water for daytime soaks. Lots of outdoor lounging shade spots and beautiful trees and native desert plants will help you make the most of this healing experience. Casa de Nowhere is in an isolated region of Joshua Tree, so you will truly feel the peace of the desert without distraction. That being said, wi-fi connection is available. Downtown Joshua Tree is a 15 minute drive from Casa de Nowhere.

Nourishment: 4-5 24oz organic, cold-pressed juices will be lovingly provided by Angela each full day of the cleanse. Filtered water and herbal teas will also be provided. One light raw vegan meal will be provided on the first night before the cleansing begins, and the fruit for breaking the cleanse will be provided on the last morning, as well as fruit and 1 juice to take with you. All nourishment provided will be organic and in-season.

>>>I am thrilled to announce that accomplished experimental vocalist Odeya Nini will be offering a very special Voice Bath experience during the retreat!<<<

A Voice Bath is a total sound immersion in the healing power of the human voice. Open your body, heart and mind to journey in meditation to the sound of vibration, tone, melody, emotion and powerful resonance of the voice. The voice will be accompanied by Tibetan singing bowls.

Odeya Nini is a yoga instructor, contemporary vocalist and composer. With 8 years of teaching experience, she has finally united her two world of music and yoga in this unique experience of a Voice Bath. Her music spans orchestral pieces to compositions for solo voice. As a soloist her voice has been heard from Los Angeles to Odessa and Mongolia.

What to bring: Comfortable and light clothing, wide-brimmed hat, bathing suit, sun protection, toiletries, flashlight or headlamp, cleansing tools (dry skin brush, enema kit, etc), yoga mat, a journal, instruments, intentions, and an open heart ready to receive. Bedding and towels are provided. Fans will be in the sleeping spaces, and the main communal house has a swamp cooler. Desert weather can be unpredictable, so come prepared for both hot and dry conditions and thunderstorms. Cooling mist sprays are a good idea, as is dressing in layers to easily accomodate the quickly changing weather possibilities. Weather updates will be provided for registrants closer to the dates of the retreat.

What to expect: The retreat focuses on exploring the inner-self, setting intentions, connecting to nature, and tuning into the Divine Spirit through the juice cleanse experience. Quietness and solitude will be encouraged outside of the group activities. This is to be seen as a sacred personal journey, a weekend-long juice ceremony. The isolated desert site provides the perfect setting for a cleanse experience, allowing you the space to find stillness within.
